Today we had a mess-up. I should have caught the mistake earlier. I previously had natural stained pined paneling in my entryway. At the outset of the project, the guys removed it. We agreed early on that we would replace it - especially on the concrete walls leading to the basement - with pine beadboard. He even brought over a chart of stain colors to choose. Today he went and bought the beadboard and the guys were busy cutting it to size and installing it. I go to check on them later in the day and...its not a knotty-pine paneling but a white coated product that must be painted. I told my contractor, *Um, well I guess we wont be staining this since it already has a white coating.* He got upset - I am guessing because he and his crew spent all afternoon installing something I didnt want.
